Need a Low Rise Builders License?
ADVANCE YOUR CAREER IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY
This qualification is designed to meet the needs of builders and managers of small to medium-sized building businesses, and is a requirement to obtain a Low Rise builders licence in Queensland. Builder licensing varies across States and Territories and additional requirements to attainment of this qualification may be required.
You'll learn about standards and legal requirements; OHS; how to plan building construction work; conduct on-site supervision; apply structural principles and building codes, as well as gain business skills - such as how to manage small business finances.
While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, it is highly recommended that you already hold a relevant trade qualification.
Sound literacy and numeracy skills are recommended, and employment in the building and construction industry is essential.

This qualification is delivered flexibly over a period of up to 1 year. The duration may vary depending on your existing skills and knowledge and date of enrollment.
Face to face classes are weekly from 5pm - 7pm at Banyo.
Additional self-paced study is also required.
The successful achievement of this qualification requires you to complete 16 units in total, including 13 core units and 3 elective units.
Whilst this course is predominantly delivered face to face, you will also require access a computer with up-to-date software, including Microsoft Office and a reliable internet connection to access building codes and standards and complete research activities in order to complete your assessments. You will also require a valid and appropriate email address, and personal stationery (pen and paper).

All Trades Queensland is a ‘Pre- Qualified Supplier’ under the Queensland Government Higher Level Skills Program. If you already hold a trade qualification (Certificate III) in the construction industry and you are a Queensland resident you may be eligible for funding.
For Queensland Government Higher Level Skills participants non concession fee is $496. Concession fee is $304.
If you are not eligible for funding the Full Fee for this program is $4,992.
While there are no formal entry requirements for this qualification, you must already hold a relevant trade qualification to be eligible for funding.
